Today Hofstra beat Towson 4-2 in the first round of this double elimination tournament. Next up is GMU who weve swept 3 games to none in the regular season.

Way to go ladies!
A reminder that the game can be heard on WRHU and wrhu.org beginning around 12:15 pm.
The games not involving Hofstra will be on the HAWC.

Looks like we have a young Joe Buck in our mist. Now win against GMU and we can kick back our heels and wait for the winner of the play in game for the championship. We can lose one game in the tourney and still win the championship.

but we need all the help we can get in getting an at-large to the NCAAs, so running the table in the CAA championship would help.

Right you are Joey if not for those rainouts we would have 40 wins already.

I would love to see where we would stand in regional rankings this year, but "The NCAA Division I Women's Softball Committee is not producing a regional ranking for the 2003 season." (from http://www.ncaa.org).
Last year, we finished 3rd in the Northeast, behind UMass & Princeton.

We beat GMU, 6-0 this afternoon.
We play in the championship game vs. either GMU or Towson tomorrow.

Either one we should win. Then it is up to the NCAA committee do deem us worthy of a berth in the tourney. We are probably the best team in the northeast but try telling that to people who think that softball is only played south of the Mason-Dixon line and west of the Mississippi.

Towson beat GMU, 2-1. Didn't see the game since I was at the baseball game. So it's Towson vs. Hofstra at noon tomorrow for the CAA softball championship!
