Does anybody know who might become some of Tony Shaver's assistant basketball coaches? Does anybody know the current status of any of our recruits; is anybody close to signing with the Tribe?

I found this article on the DP website this morning. Things are not looking good in the short-term.
http://www.dailypress.com/sports/dp-023 ... ts%2Dlocal (http://www.dailypress.com/sports/dp-02376sy0may08,0,4343417.story?coll=dp%2Dsports%2Dl ocal)
This quote in particular was disappointing:
"...but the two remaining targets of W&M's former staff - all-metropolitan Dallas area forward Mike Milton and Memphis guard Marcus Hammond - said that as of Tuesday night, they had not been contacted by Shaver or anyone from W&M."
Shaver has hired his first assistant, but he should be concentrating on getting the recruits first, I think. He can hire assistants all summer long.

Give him a few days...that story ran on Tuesday, just three days after he was hired. By now (Friday) he may very well have contacted the two recruits.
I also note he expects all his players back, so perhaps the earlier email on the W&M page that last season's freshman star was leaving was incorrect. Shaver's statement indicates he has spoken to all his inherited players.
