I don't think Stanford even looks at BT. He's been on the East Coast for so long that I'm sure all of his recruiting ties are gone. As well as Blaine has done at ODU, I don't think his head coaching resume is quite good enough for Stanford's standards. BT has remained near the top of the league for the majority of his tenure at ODU, but look at the tools he's working with compared to other CAA schools: 1) Best Arena, 2) More endowed scholarships than all other CAA schools combined, 3) Most charitable alumni base, 4) Strongest history, 5) Most NBA players, 6) Best athletic facilities, 7) Best student-athlete living quarters. When you add all of that up, BT is almost a disappointment even at the mid-major level. Granted, he has overseen the majority of the transformation, but Stanford probably wants a coach running a Gonzaga-type program with all of those advantages over his competition.

wow, with all that BT really has been sort of a disappointment at ODU. One CAA title!? geez.

But he is not worthy of a drain poster of the year award, right Tom? Donkey.

Time out, Razor. Your fellow DPOY T-Mac called Blaine a disappointment, and MasonCAA merely agreed with him to stoke the fire. If you have a problem with anybody, you should start with T-Mac.

Secondly, in MasonCAA's signature line, you are very clearly quoted as saying: "We we were SEVERLY outcoached. Sometimes BT thinks he is too smart for his own good." So I'm confused as to whether you are faking your anger over his post, or are you merely pissed because you, TM and MasonCAA all finally agree on something?

I don't bite my tongue, anyone is open to criticism. Blaine Taylor isn't perfect. Neither is Coach L or Anthony Grant and especially not you. There is a difference, however, between criticism like that which I gave Coach Taylor after a tough loss, and just being a flat out idiot trying to start a pissing match, like Masonfan. Are you intelligent enough to understand the difference? I'm not so sure.

So just to clarify since I am to dumb to figure it out, you agree with TM that Blaine has been a disappointment at ODU?

Obviously you are too dumb to figure it out if you think thats what I am saying.

so let me get this straight, even when i agree with ODU posters I'm starting a pissing match? I guess there is nothing i can say that won't upset insecure people, but this really takes the cake.

Gentlemen (and in this case I'm invoking literary license), even for Smack this is getting out of hand. Talk smack all you want, but when it evolves into personal name calling and insults, the line has been crossed. The orginal topic that was split and moved here deterioriated even more and was removed. This one is heading along the same path and is now done.

Let's knock off the crap, you all are hopefully more adult than to continue the off-season this way.
