Should we consolidate the football board into the general board now since it is a CAA sport?

Not sure honestly...

Do we take the general board and make it the Basketball board, and keep the football board where it is?
Do we make sub-forums within football for each of the CAA football schools that aren't full members?

Questions we have to answer, interested in your opinions of course.

I think if you go to basketball, you then have to add "Olympic" as well as a third board.

The one good thing about general is that even though it is mainly basketball talk, it draws in people who wouldn't normally view the olympic posts.

If you added in football, it would probably generate more traffic to "important" topics people might not normally see.

I don't think subboards for non CAA schools are all too important, unless of course you have a way to market it to their fans.

The separate football forum has worked well in the past few years, so I don't see a reason to change it.

It was separate because it was not a CAA sport at the time and added to appease members of the board.

Suggestions? Ideas? I'm open to doing what people think is best.

Some options:

1) General board with sub boards for football and basketball, and possibly others as needed.

2) Make the General board into the basketball board, keep the football board as is.

3) Keep the General board as is, make a new basketball board, keep the football board as is.

4) I think you make the General Board the "CAA Discussion" board, and eliminate the football board. It allows for all CAA related discussion to take place at one point and draws attention of everyone to the football happenings of the conference.

You don't want to slight the olympic sports which will lose a lot of discussion if they are separated elsewhere. And on the same note football may get more attention.

Either that, or leave it as is.

I like the idea of having one "CAA Discussion," board; because although I'm not a fan of any of the CAA football schools, I like to know whats going on across the CAA.

But since there are so many CAA football schools that don't play their other sports in the CAA, I think it'll make the flow of the discussion odd. So I think it should stay as it is, at least until more all sports CAA schools play CAA football (i.e ODU, GSU, GMU?). However if you decided to change it I would like MottMan's idea.

Most of the schools who don't participate in the CAA for all sports don't really have many fans on the board.
