Senior JUCO transfer G/F and former GMU JUCO transfer PG Jason Miskiri (1997-99) made 2nd team All-CAA in their junior seasons here. Miskiri went on to make 1st team All-CAA and the 1999 CAA All-Tourney team as a senior while leading the Patriots to the 1998-99 CAA championship. Miskiri was a confident, effective clutch player for the Patriots. While Davis was outstanding for the Patriots last season, IMO he has not yet proven that he is an effective clutch player down the stretch.

The following compares Davis' & Miskiri's stats for their junior seasons:

Games Played:
Miskiri - 21
Davis - 28

Minutes Played Per Game:
Miskiri - 35.9
Davis - 32.1

Pts. Per Game:
Miskiri - 15.9
Davis - 15.5

FG%:
Miskiri - 38.6%
Davis - 38.6

3-Pt. FG%:
Miskiri - 27.0%
Davis - 30.7

FT%:
Miskiri - 70.2%
Davis - 61.2

Rebounds Per Game:
Miskiri - 4.4
Davis - 3.9

Assists Per Game:
Miskiri - 4.4
Davis - 1.3

Blocked Shots Per Game:
Miskiri - 0.3
Davis - 0.3

Steals Per Game:

wow... those stats are shockingly identical. So, are you trying to say you think Davis might get picked up by the NBA following this year? Here's hoping...

He is a very important player for GMU this year. If he plays well, he can make a big positive impact for the Pats. He has the athleticism that you like in a WF.

Sportin' Oaks,

Actually, I'm challenging Mark Davis to lead the team to the CAA championship by being an effective clutch player like some of Coach L's former outstanding players including Miskiri, Evans, Herring, & Jon L.

CAA All-Tournament
1999 - George Evans (MVP) & Jason Miskiri
2000 - Erik Herring
2001 - George Evans, Erik Herring (MVP), & Jon L

here, here.... i just hope he lives up to your challenge. He was heavily hyped coming in last year and, though he was very impressive, disapointed me at times because he was SO streaky. I am looking for big things from him this year....

I would love to agree with all the positive predictions about Davis. However, he can shoot you right out of a close game when he hits one of his many cold streaks. His defense is stellar though.

A little more consistency with the 3 pointer and he's easily 1st Team.
