New Track Coach?

I read in the N&O this morning that our track coach, Kevin Ankrom, has resigned and Jim Sprecher is the new coach.

Didn't I read a couple of weeks ago that Sprecher was going to be Campbell's new coach?

Wasn't he the coach when we started winning CAA Championships in Track?

You are correct. Sprecher left Ball State when they dropped their track & field program and signed with campbell. Campbell released him from his contract when Ankrom resigned at the W to pursue "international coaching" possibilities.

Sprecher has returned to the program that he built into a winner several years ago.

Admittedly, I know nothing about the track and field situation, but did today's newspaper leave you with the impression that the coach was run out of town so Sprecher could come back ?
