OT- Wang looking at Nets

He is looking at purchasing the Nets and bringing them back to Long Island. So what do you guys think of that. How about purchasing Hofstra and taking over the sports program. Just dont let Mike Milbury run the show.

It's tough to say whether having an NBA team across the street would help or hurt Hofstra. I think it would help in revitalizing the Nassau Hub area around Hofstra but would hurt our basketball attendance.

I don't think it would hurt the 1,800 people that show up to the games. You can't get much lower than that...well, I do remember the mid 90's at the PFC...I stand corrected.

The only way the Nets come to the Island is if the Mausoleum gets leveled and a new arena is erected in its place.

I actually like the place in terms of seeing a game (at least hockey), but its a dilapidated dump. I sat in the last row there and a glass recessed light fell out of the ceiling (floor of the boxes) and shattered in front of my friends and I. The only positive was teh fact that I paid $15 for a ticket that would have cost me $75 in Philly.

There is no place for an arena like that in this day and age.
