KSU........AJC.........stomach ache

I was looking around the AJC today and finally came across the article that I think Pounce (mathman) posted about.

It sounded more like an advertisement than a sports news story. It made me sick, I felt like someone from Disney wrote the article. [Barf]

So my question is why the hell does KSU get all this attention? Do they really honestly truly deserve it? Where is the love for GSU from the AJC and other media sources? Do we have to move down to divsion II and win a championship to get some love?

I knew nothing of KSU when I transferred to GSU back in 2000 and didn't know a thing about them until 2002 when my friend told me he was going there (part time to no time). KSU really reminds me of FAU (ick, yuck) down in Boca Raton. The parking lots around the edges of campus buildings are just like FAU!

I wouldn't fret so much about the recent KSU media attention...the only reason they are getting press is because they are moving up and have alot of momentum....once they move up and likely join the A-Sun I really doubt we would hear that much from them...'cause for the first 5 years or so in the D1 they won't be able to compete for any championship and for that brief period they'll fall of the face of the earth athletics wise. By the time they will able to do anything GSU will be well cemented in the CAA and competing on a nightly basis with schools that are nationally recognized...be it in conference or out of conference...in the mean time KSU will be playing against such note worthy opponents as Lipscomb, Stetson, and Gardner Webb as well as some D2 schools to help complete their OOC schedule....all in all they will be in the same mess with the same lack of attention as GSU gets now.

And remember Timbo, besides their D2 championship win how many games did the AJC write a game summary as well as a box score. I cant think of one...while GSU had a game summary and box score of every single game GSU played their was even feature columns by AJC columnist on Trello Galloway, Nate Williams, and an article on Petechia Hartman...I dont recall anything like that for KSU....so Timbo don't fret.
