This poll should be, "Who has the second best pep band in the CAA?"

I do believe the VCU fans have left again...

JMU's band brings the ball-sack to the tournament. No other band brings the sound. Honestly. Someone put a decibel-meter in front of each group & post the highest rating. I dare you.

If you say loud doesn't matter, you're in denial.

If only we could run an unbiased poll...

Dude that is SICK. Reinforces my vote for Mason.

That was pretty sweet. You guys better play that at the CAA tournament!

These polls should be done after the tournament so everyone could see the other bands since bands don't travel to away games.

I agree, but it's not too late. We can throw up a poll after to see if anyone's opinion has changed. It's just been a tradition to have the voting before the CAA tournament because of the Zone Party. Is there any chance of the Zone Party returning next year?

Yeah, definitely do this after the tourney. I'm sure it will be much of the same, but would be really cool to run one where you couldn't vote for your own school. We would have to have someone moderate that hard to make it work. Would be cool to see results though.

Could do like a real time tournament with the actual brackets and compare bands, cheerleaders, and dance teams. Just a thought. I'm trying to think of ways to get past the 10 options/12 schools dilemma. Either that or just list schools that brought their bands, dance teams, cheerleaders (if it's 10 or under)

Yeah. I'm sure two schools won't have a band. Maybe Drexel. I remember one year their band consisted of like five 60 year old men playing big band tunes. Don't know about the Dub. William & Mary used to never bring them unless they made the semis or finals.

The W&M Pep band will be there on Friday and for as long as we make it.

You mean every Tribe pep band member isn't on a Spring Break service project?!? That was my favorite excuse given by past pep bands at W&M. EVERY SINGLE PEP BAND MEMBER IS IN GUATEMALA. HAVE A HEART.

We'll have no where near the size of a band as JMU, but we will be there. The WM pep band has really grown in the past few years.

HyperDuke

Oh, I know. Don't worry, while I take pride in the JMU band's quality, I'm not like the VCU fans who will boo another pep band.

As a band member I have great respect for what JMU's band does, especially playing Welcome Home, kind of wish we had though of that.

Don't know about the Dub.

Yep, we have a pep band, and they'll be there for the tourney.

tribe, please, when we play football in williamsburg next season, just let our band play. Leave it to the professionals.

I really like this idea. Use a poll before the tournament starts to create seeds then vote on each matchup. I also like the idea where you can not vote for your own team because right now whoever has the most active posters, usually wins these polls.

Realize though that most of JMU's recent tunes were only recently created by one of our own members. We do not own the rights to the music and have actually been forced to remove videos from Youtube- most notably the bed intruder song which actually had a high view count.

Well, maybe the solution to this would be just have a thread instead of a poll and votes are public? Just post who you vote for and you can't vote for your own school?

In which 70% of the people watching it think the band is from a high school....:001_unsure:

Towson has that same problem. I would be surprised if Mason has the rights to most of their music but I don't think they care.

Drexel definitely has a pep band and we've been going every year. Because we are on a quarter system and we're around finals right now and our concert bands concert is always on the sunday of the tournament sometimes the band is small.....but we always show up.
