Same here. They went on the road to a tough environment playing against a very good team and were first in the bracket busters to make an impression.

I'm seeing a theme here.

The first one is a good choice - #1 and #2 that went to the wire.

The other two though - game of the year is a loss on your own court? Or against Ga State that fired it's coach before the tournament for the team's performance?

While it wasn't close, GMU @ VCU deserves consideration as the most hyped game of the season and before a national crowd.

The best ODU game this year, and I saw all of them, was the ODU/Richmond game. That was actually one of the better games I have seen ever. Both teams brought their A game in that one.

Though the game was tight, I don't think either team played particularly well in the first GMU game. ODU played like crap @ Georgia State. The Georgetown game... nice performance, but, well, we lost.

Best game was definitely GMU-JMU. The second half was so entertaining - not only was it two rivals going back and forth trading haymakers, but it was an extremely high level of basketball. I watched the VCU - WSU game and came away thinking WSU was overrated.
